As the long and dark winter season approaches, it makes us all miss the light, cosiness and warmth. That is why, in anticipation of this Christmas, we gave a very special gift to one of the apartment buildings in Tallinn. As a result of our initiative, the brightest star of Tallinn this winter is a 1950s apartment building with spectacular architecture and fascinating history at the intersection of Tartu Road and Liivalaia Street. The windows of the building were decorated in fairytale-like starlight by IKEA Interior Designer Eliise in close co-operation with all the residents.
The beauty of STRÅLA both inside and outside
In the Scandinavian countries, it is a tradition to decorate the windows with Christmas stars during the holidays. And we wished that the people of Estonia could also enjoy beautiful starlight during the darkest season. So this winter we decorated the apartment building at Tartu Road 24 with a warm glow of 150 STRÅLA stars. They are beautiful to look at and create a blissful holiday spirit for the residents of the house, the four-legged family members as well as the passers-by.

A lovely lace-patterned and star-shaped STRÅLA lampshade fills your winter evenings with warm light. And according to our Interior Designer Eliise, they are perfect for decorating every home. STRÅLA lampshades can be hung or attached to a lamp base and used to decorate, for example, shelves or walls in addition to windows.
Beautiful STRÅLA lights up with the help of a sustainable LED bulb that does not heat and consumes up to 85% less electricity compared to incandescent lamps. Therefore, the amount of electricity required to illuminate the star is modest, even if you used the light around the clock.

I have always loved how window lights create both cosy feeling inside and festive look from the outside.
