Bringing modern Scandinavian functionality to the outskirts of Jüri, IKEA for Business furnished an apartment in the Õielehe residential quarter, thoughtfully designed to reflect the vision of living in harmony with nature. To create this connection, our interior designer used soft green tones with floral and leaf motifs, adding a sense of natural freshness and balance to the space.

The Õielehe apartment was designed in collaboration with Merko Kodud. Photography by Märt Lillesiim and Merko.

A bright and practical living space

With large windows that fill the living room with natural light and a first-floor location, our interior designer chose lightweight curtains that let the sunshine in while still providing plenty of privacy—creating that cosy, homey feeling. For seating, the VIMLE 3-seat sofa adds practical comfort with its removable, machine-washable cover that’s easy to keep clean.

Clean lines, plenty of storage

The minimalistic grey-toned kitchen offers plenty of storage, keeping everything hidden neatly behind closed doors. The bottom cabinets are finished with BILLSBRO handles that enhance the modern expression of the entire apartment, while the upper cabinets have push openers to keep the overall look light and calm.

Neat dreams!

In addition to a handy cabinet and wall hanger, this bedroom features a PAX storage solution with integrated lighting that provides a big enough home for all seasonal and non-seasonal clothes. Drawers, shelves, and clothes rails help to make the most of the wardrobe space, while interior organisers for drawers take care of smaller accessories.

Spare room for guests (or the home office)

The PAX modular system is also present here in the spare room. For an extra space-saving solution, our designer chose the HEMNES day-bed that’s a sofa, single bed, double bed, and storage all in one. That makes it a perfect fit for any overnight guests. A sit/stand desk paired with wall shelving completes the room, making it ideal for a home office or study setting.

“We wanted to keep the smaller bedroom looking neutral so it could easily be adapted as a home office or guest room.“
