What is IKEA Family?

IKEA Family is a card for every home lover and our way to say ‘thank you’ for being together. The programme is free to join and has many rewards:
  • Free coffee and tea on weekdays after spending 1 € or more at the Swedish restaurant
  • Special monthly offers
  • Free insurance of goods
  • 365 days to return products
  • Extended playing sessions at Småland and more!

  1. You can park your car for free in a spacious parking lot for approx 1000 cars. We also have a designated family parking.
  2. Children are welcome to play in the Småland playground.
  3. Take a yellow shopping bag or a trolley. The yellow shopping bag is a kind of a shopping basket – leave it by the checkouts before leaving the store. If you want your own IKEA shopping bag, you can purchase the blue bag.
  4. Shopping starts in the Showroom on the 2nd floor of the store where you can browse through different room settings. Get inspired and find what you came here for and even more.
  5. Read the price tag. It tells you more than just the price. It also shows the location of the item in the Self-serve area, where you can pick it up, as well as other useful information like dimensions of the product and care instructions.
  6. Take a photo of the price tag or write down the name, article number and exact location of the item in the Self-serve area. You can find pencils and paper for that purpose throughout the store.
  7. Do not hesitate to ask – our co-workers will gladly tell you more about our products.

  1. Take a break and enjoy a delicious meal at the Swedish Restaurant. We serve traditional Swedish foods and local dishes. There is also a play area for children.

  1. Proceed to the 1st floor of the store – to the Market hall. Here you can choose and pick up various decorations, such as lamps, carpets, bed linen, curtains, tableware, artificial plants and so much more.
  2. The path will lead you to the Self-serve area – this is where you will need the notes stating the location of the products. At the entrance to this area, take a special trolley – very handy for bigger items packed in flatpacks.
  3. At the checkouts you can pay for the products using cash or a payment card, and buy gift cards. You can also use our express checkouts.
  4. The salmon or meatballs you enjoyed at the Swedish Restaurant were amazing, right? Get some more at the Swedish Food Market and bring home the taste of Sweden.
  5. Just before leaving the store stop by the IKEA Bistro and treat yourself and your companions to a hotdog or ice-cream.
  6. Sure, you can do it yourself, but you don’t have to. For your convenience, we offer delivery, assembly and other services.
  7. Buy and take home right away! Almost all of our furniture is sold in flatpacks. It is our special packing, which makes it easier for you to take the purchased goods home and assemble them yourself for instant gratification.

Visiting IKEA with kids?

The IKEA store is a place for the whole family. We have thought of everything to make your visit to the store as pleasant as it gets. And it's not just about shopping trolleys suited for seating small children. As regards the comfort of the little ones, we aim high and beyond, so that every day at IKEA is like a family celebration.

Caring for children

The world looks different from a child’s perspective, and we take that into account in designing items for kids and arranging our store. With the safety in mind, we have securely fastened all the furniture in the store.

Kids menu

Our Swedish Restaurant is another place for some great family time. It has a kids menu, highchairs and a family island to take care of the little visitors.

Baby-care rooms

On every floor of the store, there is a room designed to meet the needs of new parents. This room is available for nursing and taking care of babies and toddlers.

Småland

The 1st floor of the store is home to a supervised playground for children between the age of 3 and 7 – The Magic Forest of Småland. It is designed entirely for children to spend time playing, while parents shop. There are also other play areas throughout the store.

Children’s cinema

By the entrance to the Småland playground is a cinema, where little ones can watch what they enjoy the most – cartoons. Please note that this is not a supervised area.
