Meatballs with mashed potatoes, lingonberry jam, and green peas – it is a truly Swedish dish. First mentioned in a cookbook by Kajsa Warg in 1754 and served at IKEA since 1985, meatballs are part of both everyday meals and special occasion menus – and this year marks 40 years of IKEA meatballs. On 23 August, people in Sweden celebrate Meatball Day. Let's join them and celebrate together!
