For people living in rural Sweden 200 years ago, all activities took place in one room. Today’s tiny living may not be for the same reasons as then, but it calls for similar solutions. Inspired by Swedish folklore, OMMJÄNGE consists of flexible products from classic materials such as solid pine wood, wool, stoneware and mouth-blown glass.

The new collection pays tribute to our folklore heritage by combining traditional Swedish craftsmanship with modern-day ingenuity. The classic folding table was designed as a solution for small homes and was very popular in the past. The OMMJÄNGE drop-leaf table is a modern take on this idea – with the tabletop itself as the decoration, instead of extra ornaments.The OMMJÄNGE wall cabinet is our version of small, decorative liquor cabinet typical to homes in Sweden, made in stained solid pine wood. The cabinet can be closed or fully opened, creating a shelf and wings on the wall. What would you keep behind these curvy doors?
The OMMJÄNGE bench with storage is made from a solid pine frame with a detachable lid. With two different textile weaves on each side, you can instantly switch up your look from orange/pink to yellow/black.

The OMMJÄNGE hanging tapestry made of 100% woven cotton depicts an abstraction of the Swedish 19th century bride named Kunigunda and is perfect for absorbing sound in the modern home.The handwoven OMMJÄNGE rug combines short and long wool piles, making it durable for years of use and a beautiful eye-catcher in any room.
The colourful OMMJÄNGE pendant lampshade is made of three steel cones in the bell-shaped form of a dress.

Glass like milk and amber
Inspired by the Swedish “spillkum”, glazed terracotta bowls with white décor, designer Maria Vinka decided to adapt the shapes and colours into transparent and opaque glass. Mouth-blown by skilled artisans, every glass item is unique.
Bringing good ideas into the future
In 19th century Sweden, clothing was stored in a chest bench next to the bed, while the small milk stool helped relieve backs and knees around the home. The OMMJÄNGE solid pine stool was inspired by the triangular shape of chopped wood and it comes in an orange-red stained look. Use it for tying shoes or make it a place for magazines and decorations. The small stool is lightweight and easy to move wherever you need it.
